As an example, an equipment manufacturer in Germany, whose products are being used in a plant in South Africa encounters a problem in the South Africa’s equipment. Instead of sending someone from Germany to South Africa to fix the problem, sensors within the equipment enable manufacturers located in Germany to diagnose the problem and address it from there. Indeed, sensors within products enable to resolve problems faster, and most of the time, at a better cost.
