Mondou Supports its Growth and Accelerates its Digital Transformation by Migrating to SAP S/4HANA

Mondou is a Canadian leader in the distribution of products, services and accessories dedicated to the well-being and health of pets since 1938.

Better Sooner Than Later

It was nothing less than an aging infrastructure that gave rise to the idea of converting to SAP S/4HANA. Indeed, in 2018, Mondou's IT team knew that its servers were at the end of their lifespan and needed to be replaced in order to maintain optimal productivity. Anticipating the arrival of 2025 (now 2027) and the ongoing maintenance for their SAP ECC6 solution, Mondou decided to make a wise investment by combining the migration and renewal of their servers into a single project that is both tactical and strategic.

However, killing two birds with one stone wasn't the only advantage of starting such a process in advance. By avoiding the frenzy of a last-minute migration, Mondou was able to surround itself with the best resources available to support this transition. Especially since no other major IT initiative was planned in the short term. All the elements were therefore aligned to make 2019 the ideal time to launch the project.

A Better Experience for Everyone

For Mondou, which puts innovation at the heart of its digital transformation, the choice to switch to SAP S/4HANA was an obvious one. This move allowed them to lay a solid foundation in line with their strategic vision and growth.

This strategic vision includes improving the customer experience and the omnichannel, as well as improving the user (employee) experience.

For Mondou, it's just as important to know its customers in order to give them an increasingly personalized and enjoyable experience, as it is to provide its employees with modern, user-friendly tools.

This successful transition to SAP S/4HANA allows Mondou to execute their vision with concrete results: a much better ability to analyze transactional data to improve the customer experience. As well, a new interface for in-store employees; SAP Fiori, which is intuitive and has led to immediate adoption and a high level of satisfaction.

In light of this success, Mondou has since decided to extend the new SAP Fiori interface to several other business areas, in order to pursue their strategy of improving the user experience.
